1958 Magnette ZB
36000 ZA/ZB Magnette's were produced between 1953 and 1958 of which around 800 cars are known to have survived worldwide.
ORX 470 was first registered in January 1958 and purchased in Norfolk in 2003.The car was driven back to Yorkshire having been ‘restored’
but not to the standard that I would have liked. Having assessed it’s condition [we thought] the decision was made to further upgrade the car.
In the event ORX 470 was stripped back to a rolling chasis and then commenced replacement of a number of body panels followed by a bare metal respray,
change of colour from Birch to Twilight Grey, all brightwork rechromed, renovation of the interior including new headlining as well as overhaul of the braking and suspension !!
A two year project. The car was returned to the road in 2005 and has been used regularly since that time.
The 1995 Jaguar XJ6 was new to our neighbours and purchased from Appleyards Jaguar in Harrogate.
Following their passing it was abandoned on their daughters drive for 6 years before being rescued in 2015
and has subsequently been fully restored to its present condition.
Alongside is our recently acquired 1993 Mercedes 190E, a one owner, 40,000 mile, full history car. The car is in original/show condition.
Both cars join our 1958 MG Magnette ZB owned since 2003.
