Members gathered at Wentworth Woodhouse for a classic car show. Despite new roads we all eventually found the venue.

What a contrast to the last time we were there; lots of scaffolding and warm sunshine (no snow).

Thanks to Alan for the organisation.

Club Night - Bob Parish

We had a talk from ‘Bow tie’ Bob, former President of the Antique Automobile club of America.

His nickname comes from his love of Chevrolets.

We had an insight into how the club operates in such a large country,

with regional meets and a national that moves every year to a different state.

He has an extensive collection of classic cars himself mainly Chevrolets but has neighbours with MGs.

Thanks to Phil and Jean Knight for bringing their friend to meet us.

Elvington

Unfortunately this was postponed due to the inclement weather.

We made the right decision as Jan reported that the river near her was out by Sunday afternoon

and she doubted that we would have got out of her paddock on the morning without sinking in the mud.

We will reschedule next year.

Macmillan Coffee Morning

Thanks to all who supported the Macmillan coffee morning.
We raised a fabulous £633.50 which included a couple of days at my work.
Richard I believe has donated the book swap money to his work coffee morning as his work would match it.
Thanks to all. Jan & Paul Mitchell

Wind Down Run - 27th October

Brian has revised his run of the Cleveland Hills for our final run of the season.

We will meet at the Watermill, Carlton Miniott for coffee about 10.00am.

The run is about 50 miles and we will return to the Watermill for lunch.

Remember to adjust your clocks for the end of summertime.

Charity Cheques

Next month we are presenting cheques to five charities as nominated by members.

Ripon Golf Club - 24th November

Lunch has been organised at the golf club 12.00 for 12.30pm.

Be aware of Ripley Christmas Fair on the same date, you might like to avoid the area.

Christmas Dinner - 19th December

Yes, I know it’s only October, but we needs names and menu choices for the meal,

Menus are out at club night but we can email menus if you require one.
