"MG owners get into top gear for outing"

MG owners were out in force at Menwith Hill recently, when members of the Harrogate and Ilkley clubs collected for an outing.

The Harrogate club, which was formed in March is run by Mr. Philip Ramshaw and his wife, Angela.

It is already proving very successful with MG owners, though new members are always welcome.

The club is the brainchild of Mr. Ramshaw. He said: “When I bought my MG,

I looked round for a club and when I realised there wasn’t one, I decided to do it myself.”

“We meet every second Thursday in the month at the Nelson Inn at 8pm., the annual subscription is £3.00.”

Over 60 members from both clubs gathered at the American base, and took part in events throughout the afternoon.

These included a volleyball contest which was won by Harrogate, and a talk on Menwith Hill, given by Mr. Bob Dedad, Chief of Administration.

MGs’ which attended the get-together ranged in prices from £500 to £8000.

If you own an MG and are interested in joining the club, ring Philip or Angela on Harrogate 000000.
