Start Up Run - Crossing the Boundaries

We started with coffee at The Millstones, biscuits were provided by Brian. The route went north, through

Bolton Abbey and round the back of Skipton before heading west into Lancashire.

Bannys at Boundary Mills was the designated lunch stop. We enjoyed fish and chips at a coach party rate

before some went for retail therapy.

There was an en-route quiz for those who had time or inclination, Roger and Val won the prize of a free lunch.

Thanks to Brian and Barbara for a good start to the year.

Apologies to those of you who were expecting a talk on Wensleydale Railway last month.

The speaker was unavailable due to a family bereavement.

We had an excellent talk on the history of the Harrogate Turkish Baths instead.

Harrogate MG 2017

Plans for the show are progressing fast.

The rota for the show is now available for members to sign up, please could we ask for a minimum of

two hours but longer is always welcome. If you canít make club nights just e-mail George with some

flexible times and choice of assignment.

The lads from Ripon Walled Garden have volunteered again to help with the set up as much as is needed.

Saturday evening entertainment has been booked (Ruth and Ruben) and we are

hoping to add an element from the Morris Minor club. There is also the usual barbecue.

Knaresborough band have been booked for Sunday alongside the Sea Cadets marching band.

Trade and club stands are already being booked and concours entries are slowly coming in.

Unfortunately there will be no glamping this year.

The fun dog show will be run again this year as it proved quite popular last year.

Cars of interest from many marques will be in the arena.

A request, as usual, for Tombola Prizes and books in good condition for our own Club stand.
