At the May evening outing we re-visited the Royal Oak restaurant at Dacre Banks on a summery evening.
Diners managed to circumvent the numerous road-works sent to test ones spatial awareness and enjoyed dinner.
Thank you to hosts Steve and Anna, especially for catering for a couple of guests who had to depart early for family reasons.

Three members in 12 cars met on a gloriously sunny
for coffee and biscuits before a leisurely 54 mile drive on ‘B’ or
unclassified roads, apart from 4 miles on ‘A’ roads.
route took us over Aldwark Toll Bridge and across country to Sheriff Hutton
to join the A170 for the 3 miles through Kirkbymoorside and then back onto ‘B’ roads to Hutton-le-Hole.
The route then took us over Spaunton Moor with some tremendous views before descending the ex hill-climb
course to Rosedale Abbey.
The run finished with another climb out of the village onto Rosedale Moor for a six mile loop over the moor,
again spectacular views, to an excellent meal at the remote Lion Inn on Blakey
