August 2021

On the 4th July we went to St Johns Church in Knaresborough to a car show organised by the Alvis group.

Like some others this year it was a case of dodging the showers.

We got hit by heavy downpours on the way home but fortunately we had the hood up.

On one of the hottest days  of the year  some of us went to support a car show to raise funds for Northallerton

football club. They had a car boot sale and various attractions for children and

managed to raise a few hundred pound to keep the club going for a while.

We had our own picnic at Masham a couple of weeks ago.

We are having another one at Middleham gallops on the 22nd August, meet up there about 12 noon.

George and I will be having coffee in Masham beforehand, any body welcome.

30th August - Monday. Harrogate Car Enthusiasts show at Harrogate Rugby Ground.

We have attended their previous shows at Harrogate Railway, usually a good mix of sports, modified and classics.

A big thank you to all members who contributed to the success of the Show.

We have had some very positive comments from people who were pleased we had made the

effort to hold the event and would look forward to maybe seeing us next year.

There will be a show write up and pictures next month.
