Members are still meeting on Zoom for a social chat every other Wednesday. Anybody is welcome to join.

Victor would be happy to help if you are struggling.

Roger Goulden has organised a Zoom Club night for April 8th  commencing at 8.00pm.

An e-mail from Roger with all the relevant information has been sent separately to all members.

Victor is the liaison for any Zoom problems.

We are hoping to hold Zoom club nights for the next couple of months, hopefully back at Oatlands in July.

The committee is meeting on Zoom at present but hopefully if covid permits we will be outdoors after the 17th May.

We have planned a club picnic for the 23rd May, covid restrictions and weather permitting.

The plan is to meet at the Masham car park on the Ripon side of the town from 11.30am,

bring a picnic or just come along for a chat. For those who do not know the area it is a

large open field with plenty of space for parking. By that date groups of thirty should be allowed to meet outdoors.

The cafe is usually open in the square for takeaways and the toilets are open.

It would be good to see you all again.

There is a circular run planned for June (no definite date yet) with a picnic finish in Wetherby.

Harrogate MG 2021

Plans for the show to go ahead on August 8th are progressing.

The Alvis club are going to have a club stand, instead of the two cars in the arena they hope to have about twenty present.

There have also been enquiries about a static small engine display and vintage tractors. Discussions are ongoing.

The Walled Garden have volunteered to help with the setup as usual and they are also having a stand on the show day.

Steads (MG dealer) have indicated they will be coming as well as MGOC.

It would help if members e-mail George, susanp543f@gmail.com

if they are willing to help on setup and show day. If you could be as flexible as possible with times

on the Sunday it would be much appreciated He will bring rota sheets to the picnic as well.

Rest assured the show will only go ahead if we consider it safe and practical to do so.

For those of you who are interested in British engineering and/or all things mechanical there is a new show

running on the 'Yesterday' channel on Tuesday nights at 8.00pm.

Called 'Secrets of the Transport Museum' it is centred on the Brooklands museum with features on cars, bikes, buses and aeroplanes.
